Milestones

Just found this poem a long-lost friend once wrote for me.
It's really too damn good to keep all to myself.

Milestones
Experienced memories unknown
Fate's legacy unbroken
Desert wind sails blown
To future's priceless token

Eternities knowledge counts purity
A companion to emotions
Intoxicate lover's curiosity
To seize unblockable motions

Sex like dew clings
On pine needles of deepest green
Desperate ecstacy sings
For children's laughter seen

Solitary experiences meander
Through misty morning sunshine
Warm friendships' candor
Familiar intimacy never undermine

Update: Here's another one said poet wrote as well (not for me however).

Between Dusk and Dawn
You are the first thing on my mind
With dawn caressing the sky
You are the last thing on my mind
With dusk stroking the sun goodbye

The tender touch of your fingertips
on my skin
The silky softness of your lips
on my chin
The silent gaze of your eyes
Looking right at my soul

It's all I ever want
It's all I ever yearn for
In those lonely hours
Between Dusk and Dawn

Yet you will never be truly mine
And love turns to torture

I want to lash out at your smile
While I relish its warmth at the same time
I want to show you all my emotions
Live serving the sun on a plate
Yet I'm afraid of burning your senses
And becoming your fate

So I recoil
And wait

For the right time perhaps
For another lifetime perhaps
Or until the fire of my love for you
Consumes my mind
And I will be nothing more
Than ashes strewn in the wind

Between Dusk and Dawn
