Although I've *almost* surrendered many times to writing passionate anti-war rants in my blog last week, I finally decided to completely skirt the topic of war in my blog.

In no small part this decision was a result of an experience I had after Sept. 11, where the socio-political views I expressed offended a (at the time) close friend (who turned out equally close-minded), and subsequently, we don't talk anymore.

I'd hate to have this happen again, so I'm gonna be a good kid and shut up this time.

Those who know me well, know my stance already anyway, and those who don't know me and happen upon this page by accident are probably happy to have found a site where they don't have to have their frontal lobes tortured by "yet another opinion on the war".

On The Bright Side: David Pogue has written yet another excellent photography-related column: Can One Camera Do Two Things Well?

And Luke Tymowski has recently revived his blogs and graces them now with his daily outpour of artistic creativity - black and white photography and some color. Good stuff, Luke. Keep up the good work. :-)
