After a hectic week and a four day visit to Seattle,
I'm finally back.
Noteworties from the trip to the Emerald City were:
My friend Chris, playing at the
EMP Liquid Lounge on Friday night with his band
The Jet City Angels,
successfully asked his girlfriend to marry him by
dropping down on one knee and presenting her with
his grandmother's diamond ring - in front of
the entire audience. She said "YES"....
At the Lounge, I also managed to meet up with
Robert Scoble, Microsoft's Longhorn
Evangelist and quite possibly the world's most
prolific blogger (if you don't believe me, go over
and check out
the blog for yourself...). And although
yelling into eachother's ear over the severe
blasting of rockabilly music from loudspeakers
only 15 feet away isn't exactly my idea of an
inspiring conversation, a good time was had by
everybody nonetheless - or at least so I think.
(Note to Robert: Hey, if you read this -
nice work on the video, btw. I saw the results,
and they were excellent. Very VH1 ...;-)
In search of the
Fremont Market the next day,
I happened by a one-day outdoor sale of a glass
factory. They had the most incredible globes and
eggs and ornaments - and because the check-out line
was around the block, I took pictures instead.
Here's one of a cool globe, with the reflection
of its potential buyer.
