M. Night Shyamalan's new movie
The Village
has just been totally and completely slashed,
kicked and stomped on by
both
Ebert and
The New York Times.
Too bad, I have to say. I was looking forward
to seeing it. I really, really liked
all his other movies. They're so deliciously
scary. Come to think - they're almost as
creepy as
the documentary the Sci-Fi Channel
made about him. Now that one *really* freaked
me out. All 3 hours of it. I could hardly sleep
after that.
Too bad again though that CNN exposed the
documentary as
an elaborate hoax (and incidentially, the
Sci-Fi website for the doc is
down).
Maybe M. Night should consider airing the
documentary in place of "The Village".
As skillfull as this guerilla doc is, I bet it would
help M. Night retain his viewership and loyal
following much better than "The Village"
ever will ...
